WAH WAH WAH WIPEOUT!!!

This weekend, we celebrated Rylee Roses SEVENTH birthday!! Holy cow, time flies! It seems like yesterday when I met this little munchkin. Justin picked me up for Rylee's 3rd birthday party. I remember being so nervous to meet her. I jumped in the truck and Justin introduced us and she didn't say anything. She just sat there in her little pink car seat staring at me. hahaha It makes me laugh every time I think about it. She was looking at me from the corner of her eye thinking that I couldn't see her staring. Finally, she spoke (and hasn't stopped, I should add). She was using a compass that she got in her happy meal to tell her daddy directions. Her voice was high pitched and, of course, adorable. I knew I loved her right then.

Now, 4 years later, she asks for a Wipeout party!! It came complete with a waterslide, slip'in slide, a inflatable pool, and lot and LOTS of sugar!! As always, she loved seeing her cousins and friends and had a blast playing in the water. She couldn't wait for the party to start. Every ten minutes "when does my party start," "how much longer," "can I go down the slide yet." She's hilarious!
All hail the birthday Queen!!

Rylee LOVES candy, so whats better than a sweets bar!! :) We had a few of her favorites: Rock-candy, Starburst, sour patch kids, sixlets, gumballs, cotton candy cupcakes, sugar and chocolate chip cookies. There would have been a lot more chocolate, however..... we live in Texas. Too hottt!!

This is my attempt at a cake :) I love to bake cakes, and I like to think I'm getting better at decorating them.... We all  have to star somewhere!

I loved the idea of a photo booth!! Had to have it!

WIPEOUT OBSATCLE COURSE!!

Run run run to the slip'n slide and knock down all of the pins!!
Next, dive into the pool and swim through the noodles and big balls!!
After that, rush over to the waters lide!!

Don't get stuck [like Rylee did]!

Finally, slide down the slide and take a bow!!!
TA-DA!!!

Rylee had so much fun at her party!! We are so blessed to have such an amazing family and such great friends!

Pop[ovich] Day!

Happy Father's Day!

Over the past year or so, Justin and I have made a point to have Sunday dinner with my parents. At first, my mom would casually invite us over, then after a few weeks straight, we just made it a thing! Usually, Rylee isn't involved because we have to take her back to her mamma on Sundays around 7, but this Sunday was Father's Day so little bit got to stay the night.

I have always been very close with my dad (even when he would tell me I was adopted), and we have always shared a special bond. Maybe it was because I was the baby, or maybe it was because I was the closest thing to a son he was going to get. Yes, I was the "tomboy." I loved to hunt and fish and I played every sport I could! When I wasn't old enough to go to sleep overs, my dad and I would stay up late and play board games. These were the nights he would tell me I was adopted. :) Even to this very day, I find it very easy to talk to my dad. Of course we had our moments. For instance, in high school, I was a great driver but very careless with my car. He had a thing about tires! I swear, I could come home with a dent in my door, but shoot... if I hit the curb with my tires while parking out front, the neighbors would know I was in trouble.

And of course, as most girls do, we had a boyfriend issue. Our issue however wasn't something we could brush under the rug, and unfortunately we had a falling out for about a year or so. I love my dad, and him and I are so much alike which causes of do really but heads. So, we were sucked into this black hole of a year and I can truly say that it was one of the hardest times in my life thus far. Sometimes I think back, and although I still don't agree, and honestly never will, I know that of bond only grew stronger because of our time in different corners. I know he loves me and only wanted what was best. It's hard to believe that it has been 4 year.

Well, everything happens for a reason, and after a painful year and a painful break up, in walked the man of my dreams. Ugh... that's so corny! But not only my dreams, my dad's dreams as well. I can't even begin to explain how well Justin and dad get along. It's almost scary how alike they are, as well. Dad absolutely loves him and Justin just can't get enough. They even have their own inside jokes :) I am very blessed to have them both in my life. I can't wait to watch Justin and Rylee's bond grow just as mine and my dad's did. I really can't even remember last Father's Days, but this one, just felt right. I had my dad, and Justin had Rylee, my mom and Brittany were there, we were just missing Allison.

Also, GO SPURS GO!!! My dad doesn't care so much about basketball, but Justin was one happy camper. Rylee Rose on Father's Days and a San Antonio Spurs Championship!!! How exciting! As we prepared dinner, we watched the Spurs and the celebrated our 4th win, in the NBA Finals, against [the horrible] LeBron James and those other guys. YAHOO!! I love my Spurs!

Boom goes the dynamite!

My entire life I have been very close to my family. I was very blessed to of had both my parents in my life, under one roof, who continue to love each other through tick and thin. I have two beautiful older sisters who are my best friends; we truly are as close as they come. Aunts, uncles, cousins grandmas and grandpas, they are all a huge part of who I am. That being said, 4 years ago I met my a man who would completely change my life. BOOM.

My sister, Brittany, introduced me to Justin while on Spring Break. How romantic, I know. He was charming, and handsome, and hilarious and.... well, he was intoxicated. But that didn't stop him from proposing to me on that very same day. I said yes of course but it didn't go further than that. At first.

After the putt putt golf plastic ring proposal, he got my number and didn't call. I was bummed so, naturally, I Facebook stalked him. I mean... doesn't everyone do that? No? Well you should because it payed off. A few months later we were [like totally] official. I couldn't wait for him to meet my family. My sisters saw me happy so they loved him. He was polite, so my mom adored him and he was a real "manly man," so my dad was ecstatic.

Can it get any better? YES IT CAN because Justin came with a bonus! This bonus stood about 36" tall, with big blue eyes, and lovely dirty blonde hair. She is beautiful, sweet, caring, smart, and AMAZING. Her name is Rylee Rose.

Did I ever see myself in a relationship with someone who had a kid? Absolutely not. But Rylee has one incredible dad! :)
So, fast forward through 4 years, 2 dogs, 1 house, blue eyes that turned to green, and 8 visits from the tooth fairy, and here we are! And I wouldn't have it any other way!
